Dr. Thomas was born and raised in Upland, California. After high school, he served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Perth, Australia—where, of all places, he became fluent in Spanish. He later moved to Utah and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University, followed by a Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, graduating with honors.

While attending BYU, Dr. Thomas married Tara Bergeson, a native of Royal City, Washington. Her hometown ties brought them to the Columbia Basin, where Dr. Thomas began practicing in Quincy and quickly fell in love with the area. In 2008, he joined Columbia Basin Eye Clinic, where he gained invaluable experience working alongside Dr. Roth. In July 2025, upon learning of Dr. Seiler’s retirement, Dr. Thomas made the exciting decision to purchase Moses Lake Vision Center.

Dr. Thomas provides comprehensive eye exams for glasses and contact lenses, and brings years of experience in managing a wide range of eye conditions, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, dry eye, and conjunctivitis. He also offers emergency eye care for foreign body removal and co-manages surgical patients following procedures such as cataract removal, LASIK, and PRK.
Outside of the office, Dr. Thomas enjoys spending time with his wife and six daughters. He’s actively involved in their lives—coaching soccer and softball teams, participating in church service, and staying hands-on with hobbies like woodworking, golf, home improvement projects, and cheering on his favorite teams. He is proud to call Moses Lake home and is grateful to serve and grow in the community he loves.
